Terms and Conditions
Thanks for calling Angell
Roofing for your repair estimate! Please take a moment
to read thru this brief primer to help familiarize
yourself with the nature of roof leaks. Angell Roofing
has a first-attempt success rate of approximately
80%, but we are continually striving to raise this
percentage higher. We always try to offer a one year
warranty on repairs but are sometimes unable to due
to the deteriorated condition of customers’
roofs. Other factors that can prevent us from offering
a warranty are multiple roof layers, type of structural
deck beneath the roof membrane, previous repair attempts,
or previous shoddy workmanship. We can stay busy year
round by only installing new roofs but maintain a
repair division as an additional option for customers
who cannot afford a new roof at the present time,
or who may not need a full replacement yet. Repairing
leaks is not an exact science, and it becomes even
more difficult to successfully stop leaks when we
are hired to patch a roof that was installed by another
company whose workmanship we are not familiar with.
Sometimes conditions that can prevent a warranty being
offered are not visible until work is commenced, and
on occasion additional billable work above the original
quote is required to successfully stop a leak. Replacement
of entire sections can be necessary for adequate results,
and frequently extra expenses will occur due to deteriorated
decking. On tile, shingle, and other visible roofs,
exact matches of the existing materials are frequently
not readily available, or not available at all due
to product discontinuation. Age, weathering, and mildew
can also alter the appearance of your roof, so if
our repair does not blend in well or match perfectly,
realize that we give it our best effort each time.
In the event of a repair continuing to leak, please
allow us ample response time- when it rains, we can
receive in excess of 40 calls per day for repairs,
and each customer feels they are just as important
and their situation just as critical as yours. We
can generally arrive within 6 working days, but realize
that when it is raining we are basically helpless
to do any repair, and when the weather clears we cannot
immediately be at all jobs at once.
Angell Roofing will not be held financially responsible for any damage to ceilings,
contents, flooring, or anything else due to water intrusion or job progress. We
also cannot be held financially responsible for additional repairs required due to
leaking walls, windows, chimneys, air conditioning units, roof mounted apparatus,
plumbing, clogged drains, etc. Please understand: We hate to hear about our failure
to stop a leak as much as you hate to see it still leaking.
Your cooperation, patience, schedule flexibility and
politeness will greatly increase the odds of the both
of us resolving your roof problems. If this statement
makes you feel uneasy, we urge you to check around
town for another roofer – we feel confident
that our terms are equal to or better than the majority
of other companies.
Call us if you have any questions, and please realize our goal: Resolve the problem,
and move on to the next customer! By signing below or signing proposal, customer
acknowledges understanding and agreeing to these terms.
Thank you,
Charles Angell
President
