This is a cupola vent which serves as a decorative attic vent. It is a passive
vent, which allows heat to escape through the louvers as the hot air rises. In
the background is an turbine vent, which is considered "active." When wind blows
the turbine spins which creates a draw, pulling air out of the attic. |
